Do you enjoy being involved in athletics? If so, why not stay involved after graduation while earning money at the same time? Check out the link below for more information about becoming a registered official.
UPDATE: The M.H.S.A.A. is relaxing the athletic physical requirements for the 2020-21 school year. The information below may not be relevant for any student-athlete who had a valid physical on file during the 2019-20 school year. Please note, each student-athlete who ALREADY has a valid physical on file will need to complete the MHSAA Health Questionnaire. Here is the link.
The Michigan High School Athletic Association (M.H.S.A.A.) requires each student-athlete to have a valid physical on file with the school before they may participate in Middle School or High School athletics. A valid physical for the 2019-20 school year is one that is given on or after April 15th of 2020.
NEW IN 2017-18: The M.H.S.A.A. will now require a NEW sport's physical form that has concussion acknowledgement information. Please make sure you use this form for the 2020-21 school year. The other form will be invalid. M.H.S.A.A. Physical Form

Also, please remember that a valid physical for the 2020-21 school year must be signed by the appropriate medical staff on or after April 15th, 2020. This is a Michigan High School Athletic Association requirement, so please plan on scheduling physicals on or after April 15th of every year. THEY MUST HAVE A VALID PHYSICAL ON FILE BEFORE THEY MAY PARTICIPATE.

Student-Athletes must be academically eligible to participate in middle school and high school athletics. Eligibility is determined in two ways. First, they must be eligible from their previous semester. Basically, at the high school level, they must have passed four out of their six academic classes. Lost credits can be made up by taking approved online courses or by attending summer school. Please talk with the high school counselor for more information. Failure to meet the previous semester requirement will result in being ruled ineligible to participate for 60 school days. Second, our student-athletes must be in good standing with their current classes. They must be currently passing all of their classes with a minimum of a 1.75 grade point average. If they are failing one class, they must have a 2.0 grade point average. Failing more than one class or failing to meet the minimum requirements mentioned will result in the student-athlete being ruled ineligible to participate. Their eligibility will be checked on a weekly basis.
Participation fees are due by the end of the third week of practice. The fee is $50 per sport for high school athletics. There is a $200 family cap for all families. This cap includes any middle school children who are involved in middle school athletics. You must pay the participation fee in the high school office or online.
You can now pay for your child’s athletic participation fee online. You will need to go to E-Funds for Schools and establish an account. This is the same site you can use to pay for school breakfast/lunch. You will need your student’s Identification (I.D.) number to establish an account. This is the same I.D. number you use to access Pinnacle. If you are not sure, you can contact the school to request their Identification number. There is a small transaction fee every time you make a deposit. This fee covers the cost of the program.
Outstanding Athletic Bills/Equipment:
All student-athletes must turn in all uniforms/equipment and have all outstanding bills paid before they may participate in athletics. This means they may not begin their next sport until everything has been turned in from their previous sport.
Athletic Ticket & Prices
Galesburg-Augusta Community Schools offer a variety of ways for families to save money while attending athletic events. Please see the ticket information below to find out how you can save money of athletic event admissions.
Please contact Mr. Woodard the Athletic Director with any questions or concerns 484-2016.
You may purchase student Athletic Passes in the high school office, or at many of the high school athletic events. The cost is $20 for elementary and middle school students and $30 for high school students. The passes are good for all regular season, home high school athletic events throughout the school year.
We offer a variety of discount punch cards for home high school athletic events. There are several different prices, from $25 to $100. The more admissions you purchase, the greater the savings. For example, for $100 you receive 40 admissions. This comes out to $2.50 per admission.
Senior Citizens (62 yrs. and up) will receive free admission to all home events and most away events. However, you must have a Senior Citizen pass. You can obtain a Senior Citizen Pass from the high school office. This is for residence of Galesburg and Augusta. Otherwise, you may contact your local school district to inquire about obtaining a pass.
Anyone that is currently serving in the U.S. Military will now receive free admission to all of our regular season events. Simply show your military I.D., or be in uniform.
