Thank you to Superintendent Lindsey Newton for being our guest reader Tuesday afternoon. Dr. Newton read, “That’s Not Funny, David!” by David Shannon and the children laughed and laughed. We discovered that Dr. Newton attended G-A Schools from kindergarten through senior year and her favorite book as a child was, “The Giving Tree.” We look forward to having Dr. Newton visit again as a guest reader next month!

📚✨ Collaboration and Growth Across the County! ✨📚 Yesterday at Galesburg-Augusta Primary, we had the privilege of hosting Instructional Rounds with administrators, coaches, and teachers from across the county. Schools like Vicksburg, Portage, Gull Lake, Comstock, and more sent teams to observe classrooms and engage in meaningful reflection. Instructional Rounds are a practice where educators visit classrooms, reflect on what they observe, and discuss strategies to improve teaching and learning. It’s about understanding what’s happening in the classroom, how we can collectively improve, and how we can make strides toward better student outcomes. Participants exchanged insights on improving instructional practices and enhancing student learning. Many shared how Galesburg-Augusta's rounds process provided fresh perspectives and practical strategies for their own districts. The opportunity to experience a different instructional setting and the structured reflection time proved to be especially valuable. Thank you to everyone who participated – we look forward to more opportunities for collaboration and growth. #RamFam #InstructionalRounds
