2021 Bond Proposal - STEAM and STEM Video
For three years, G-A has been adding STEM/STEAM courses K-12. This type of curriculum incorporates Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, and Art. These programs are collaborative-based, group-oriented classes where projects are examined integrating all subject areas. Students examine real world problems and develop engineering process-focused solutions. Having the right facilities to grow more STEM/STEAM programming will help us ensure all students receive this education before graduation, keeping the world of possibilities open for each of them.

G-A Administrators will host our annual community tailgate before the home varsity football game TODAY Friday, September 17th at 5:30 PM. There will be food, games, music, and giveaways prior to the game against Watervliet. We hope you will come out to support our student athletes and marching band members.

2021 Bond Proposal - Multipurpose Space at the High School
We may be a small district, but our high school students still need experiential learning opportunities that increase their preparedness for life after graduation. Having the flexible space of a multi-purpose facility will allow our high school staff to add such things as: large group presentations related to health and safety, career and technical education options throughout the county, job fairs, college application/FAFSA nights, fine arts celebrations, large group projects, robotic competitions, music, speech, theatre, debate, and additional P.E. classes. We need space for indoor marching band practice, flag corp practice, sideline cheer and to start a competitive cheer program.

REMINDER: DELAYED START TODAY 9/15!
Just a friendly reminder that TODAY, 9/15 is our 1st delayed start of the school year. Delayed starts are scheduled every Wednesday, except for the 1st Wednesday of each month. School will start 90 minutes later on delayed start days. School will dismiss at the normal time.
Delayed Start Times:
Primary School 9:20 AM
Middle School 9:44 AM
High School 9:00 AM
* Bus riders will be picked up 90 minutes later than their scheduled pick up time.

*** Congratulations G-AHS Equestrian Team!!! ***
The G-AHS Equestrian team placed first at Meet 1, 2, & 3 and brought home the B division championship trophy. The team will head to Regionals on October 1-3, 2021 at Berrien Springs.

Come out and support the varsity football team this Thursday, Aug. 26th. We are offering free admission for our Community Night. Kick-off is at 7 p.m.
Bring your family to downtown Galesburg for an afternoon to meet the principals! The Middle School and High School Principals (Mrs. Wiese and Ms. MacDonell) will be at the Gull Lake Distillery. The Primary Principal (Mr.Sportel) will be at the Galesburg Community Park! The event is THIS Sunday, August 22, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.

G-A High School is hosting a KRESA Education for Fine Arts class!
Modern/Jazz Dance Studio:
Learn dance techniques through exploring modern dance, ballet, jazz, hip hop, and cultural dance styles. Exploration of dance-related subjects will include movement improvisation, composition, and dance history. Students gain performance skills, learn how to choreograph their own dances and are required to participate in EFA dance concert at end of each term. They will have the opportunity to take field trips to see live dance concerts and attend master classes. Students will work with professional dance educators and guest artists.

It is a volunteer position, but there are some perks that come with the position like free admission to all of our league athletic events (home and away) for you and a guest.
